SSE is working on different contracts under several different contractors at the construction of the new North Terminal of the Louis Armstrong International Airport this year. SSE fabricated and erected the structural steel frame for the Central Utility Plant (both Building A and Building B), as well as an large auxiliary cooling tower. SSE also fabricated all the of the structural steel pipe embeds for the main terminal. SSE is providing welders on site to assist in the erection of the newest concourse, Concourse A. Additionally, SSE fabricated 2000 baggage handler steel supports for Pteris Global, one of the leading providers of airport baggage handling equipment, for the airport’s complex baggage and material handling system.
Later in the project, SSE will also fabricate and erect all of the structural steel framing for the Blue Water/Taxi Building, one of the ancillary buildings on the campus of the new terminal.
